Tarantino Calls Off His Final Film Project “The Movie Critic”

Quentin Tarantino has canceled his plans for “The Movie Critic,” which he had intended as his tenth and final film. This development was first reported by Deadline.

Originally, Brad Pitt was set to star in the film, continuing their partnership from “Inglourious Basterds” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The project had stirred excitement with potential cast reunions and Sony ready to produce.

However, after revising his script, Tarantino postponed the production. He has now decided against completing “The Movie Critic” as his final project.

This news has shocked fans, reminiscent of when Tarantino shelved “The Hateful Eight” after a script leak. He had felt betrayed but eventually resumed the project.

Tarantino revealed at Cannes that “The Movie Critic” was set in 1977 California and inspired by a real person who wrote reviews for an adult magazine. With the film now shelved, Tarantino is rethinking what his final cinematic work will be.
