In 2002, the film “28 Days Later” introduced new actors along with some experienced ones. Now, the team behind the movie, including Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, has reunited for a sequel titled “28 Years Later”. This new project stars well-known actors Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes.
The story picks up years after the events of the first film, where the main character, Jim, discovers a world overrun by a deadly virus. This virus transforms people into violent creatures.
“28 Years Later” is the start of a planned trilogy. The next part will be directed by Nia DaCosta, and work on it will begin immediately after the first one is completed. While details about the plot and characters are still secret, the film continues to explore the aftermath of the virus outbreak. Sony is financing this film.
