Ryan Reynolds’ New Movie “Animal Friends” Sets 2025 Release Date

Reynolds is making headlines with his new film, “Animal Friends,” set to hit theaters on August 15, 2025. This R-rated movie mixes real-life scenes with animation and features a star-studded cast including Aubrey Plaza, Jason Momoa, and others.

The film is written by Kevin Burrow and Matt Milder, with Peter Atencio directing. Reynolds’ own company, Maximum Effort, along with Prime Focus Studios, will produce the movie.

Reynolds is also busy with his role in the Marvel Universe, debuting in “Deadpool & Wolverine” with Hugh Jackman. Another notable project includes “IF,” a family-oriented film, featuring John Krasinski and Steve Carell. Known for his charming persona, Reynolds has collaborated with many top actors like Dwayne Johnson and Brad Pitt.

In addition to his upcoming releases this summer, Reynolds is preparing for more sequels, including “Red Notice 2” and “Detective Pikachu 2.” Meanwhile, Momoa, after his success in recent hits like “Fast X,” is gearing up for a role in the “Minecraft” movie.

Aubrey Plaza has been recognized for her performance in “The White Lotus” and will soon appear in the “Agatha” series from Marvel Studios. Dan Levy, celebrated for “Schitt’s Creek,” is working on a new comedy series called “Standing By.”
